Coffee Shop Mobiles App

Case study

Small coffee shop which is starting to have a lot of customers and long queues.

Solution

From the existing cases, a mobile application will be made about ordering a Coffee Shop that is can be ordered online to try to solve the problems faced by the user. So that by making this mobile application, it is hoped that it can help users to make it easier to useorder drinks/food without having to wait in long lines.

To solve the problem, I use the design thinking method.

EMPHATIZE & DEFINE PHASE

User Research

In conducting user research, I select users who meet the criteria of the general public, both workers and students, who like coffee and have ordered coffee either directly or indirectly. So that by doing this user research we can find problems faced by users,

Usability Testing

Testing Plan:

This usability testing uses the moderated testing method.
Where this test is carried out directly but remotely.
Applications used for doing this test include Zoom meeting and Maze.

Target Participants:

The target participants who will be selected for usability testing are 3 people Public 20-30 years old consisting of an accountant and 2 students which love coffee and have ordered coffee online.

Participant Task:

User is asked to try to place a coffee order using
payment method available and provide assessments and input related to the design, features, and user experience when doing usability testing

Test result

Conclusion

So the conclusions that can be based on the test results include:
1. Repair the prototype, which is a feature to return to the home.

While the pain points and input obtained from the user's exploration of the application
including:

1. Adding promo features, so that users are more interested in using the application.

2. Added a sugar dosing feature, so the user can choose whether the user wants to
order it without sugar or use sugar. If the user wants to add sugar
then the user wants to be able to choose whether extra sugar, less sugar, etc.

3. Added the cancel order feature

Redesign

Reasons for redesigning:
Because based on research that has been analyzed, this application still needs to make improvements in terms of some features.

Redesign Plan:
-Added promo feature.
-Added sugar dosing feature.
-Added the cancel order feature, but the user can only cancel the order before 3 minutes after reservation is made. This is done to prevent unwanted things from happening.
For example, maybe there is a random person who places an order but he suddenly cancels Orders when the coffee has started will be sent to the customer's address.

The next plan

The next plan is to do a second usability test and monitor the extent to which this project is successful, and continue to make updates according to user needs.
